I have now arrived back safe and sound to the base in Corrientes, Argentina. The Niko program was amazing and challenged me in many personal ways, including trusting in God more, accepting His undeserved grace in my life, and also how I view prayer and God himself. While I cannot go into the details of the camp, I can assure you that it did not necessarily change my outlook on things but left me with a greater sense of wonder and love at my creator and His sacrifice for me. I encourage anyone that has the opportunity to take part in this camp, despit the rumours of a very drill-camp like experience, to certainly do so.
I also want to you let you know that it looks like the opportunity to go to Chile at the end of October is a no-go because of finances and time. I just don’t have enough of either to be able to go. But I will be seeing Sarah and Aaron in December at the Southern Cone Worker’s Retreat in Buenos Aires so that gives me some comfort. However, next weekend I will be taking a trip out to Posadas, in the province of Misiones, to translate for a weekend for two couples coming from a church in Alaska. That takes me to a province I have never seen before and gives me a nice break from the base. Please pray with me that I will have the finances for the bus there and back and also that I have the grace to be able to translate for two and a half days straight.
Thank you for all of your support and love and I hope to hear from you all soon!
